STRATEGY AND GROWTH DIRECTOR
Fiorella has extensive experience in client management at large private corporations, governments, and development organizations. Her expertise centers on project management to strengthen entrepreneurship and value chains and enhance SMEs’ competitiveness. Fiorella has a major in Industrial Engineering and has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing at INCAE Business School.
GROWTH DIRECTOR
Corentin is experienced in developing methodologies, facilitating workshops, designing projects, and conducting research at FUNDES. His career has enabled him to develop professionally in the field in Mexico, Costa Rica, China, Guinea, and Senegal. He graduated from the St. Gallen University and SciencesPo Paris, and has a double Master’s Degree in Sustainability and International Development.
MARKETING LEADER
María Fernanda has worked at FUNDES for over the past three years, having pursued a career in the Projects and Marketing areas. She is a political scientist from the University of Costa Rica and is currently studying a Master’s Degree in Administration with a focus on Marketing at the Latin American University of Science and Technology of Costa Rica as she aims to extend her knowledge in this discipline in order to make a positive impact on her role as a Marketing Leader.
SOLUTIONS MANAGER
For the past 5 years, Mauricio Ramírez, has stood out for developing innovative processes and technological solutions at FUNDES. He currently oversees and works with the team responsible for developing and implementing solutions.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Roger Falkenstein has great expertise in marketing, advertising, and commerce. He is well known for identifying the needs of his clients from different viewpoints since he has worked in managerial positions in very diverse sectors. Dell, Adoc, Algara, and Professional Sales Solutions are some of the companies where he has faced important challenges that today give him a broader vision of the needs in the business sector.
Roger is from El Salvador and is in charge of the Commercial Direction at FUNDES. He has the support of a commercial team in North America, Central America, and South America. He studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, where he majored in Hospitality and Services Management, and has a certificate in Industrial Psychology –with a focus on Travel Management and Tourism. His outstanding participation as senior advisor at the Investment Promotion Agency in El Salvador has provided him with an international insight for his current position.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
David is vastly experienced as a businessman and project manager. At FUNDES’ Direction of Projects, he has accomplished to run prominent initiatives across Latin America successfully, developing and making impact on the development of millions of SMEs every year. He is a co-founder of College Cup, an organization that creates opportunities for athlete students in Central America to obtain sports scholarships at foreign universities, mainly in the US.
David is from El Salvador, holds a Bachelor of Innovation in Business Administration at the University of Colorado, and has an MBA with a specialty in Strategic Direction from the University of Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid.
CEO FUNDES DIGITAL
Armando Moguel y Anza has over 25 years’ experience working for massive consumption companies in America and Europe (SCA, P&G). He won the Seedstars Award for Best Startup of Costa Rica in 2016.
Today, as the Director of Solutions Development, he is responsible for the solutions business, creation and development. Armando is Mexican and is based in Costa Rica. He studied Physical Engineering at the Technological Institute of Monterrey, and also has studies in Business Administration and Operation at Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM), and in Dynamic Systems at the MIT.
HUMAN RESOURCES REGIONAL MANAGER
Priscilla has built a valuable career in Human Resources Management for the past 14 years, most of which encompass a regional approach addressing the needs of multiple Latin American countries. She is responsible for FUNDES’ Regional Human Resources Management, leading the human talent attraction, development, and retention processes that make a significant impact on achieving the organization’s strategy and results.
She is a business administrator and majored in Administration specializing in Human Resources at the Technological Institute of Costa Rica. She also has further studies in Mexico and the US.
DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE
In the past 25 years, Catalina Pacheco has built a valuable career in the financial realm of prestigious local and regional companies, such as Lacsa and TACA –today a member of Avianca Group. Nowadays she is in charge of the financial operations at FUNDES as the person responsible for the Financial Services Center, spreading her mark of professionalism and responsibility to the team under her supervision.
Catalina is Costa Rican, and graduated as a Public Accountant at the University of Costa Rica. She has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance at the Technological Institute of Costa Rica.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Our Executive Director, Elfid Torres, has worked passionately on the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises in Latin America for over 20 years. Elfid is Mexican and has a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the University of East Anglia, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from INCAE Business School.
IT COORDINATOR
Computer engineer with 18 years of professional experience in various IT fields, with a high degree of adaptability. Experience in national companies and international organizations.
